If you or someone you know has been sexually, physically, or emotionally abused, I am so sorry that this has happened. It was not your fault. Following abuse, we are never quite the same-yet there is an opportunity to become stronger than ever before. Some of the common side effects of abuse are depression, guilt, shame, anxiety, problems with sleep, eating disorders, anger, poor self-esteem, social withdrawal, and addiction.
*Expertise in NARCISSISTIC ABUSE.
Depression is one of the most debilitating conditions that someone can live with. Simple tasks such as getting up for work or school, taking a shower, grooming and socializing can feel like too much. We feel like we are a burden and can’t seem to enjoy the things we once did. I can’t promise you that you will feel better tomorrow, or next week. What I can promise you is that with proper and consistent treatment you can and will get better.
Is your teen or pre-teen struggling with depression, low self-esteem, or anger? Are you constantly receiving phone calls from school due to misbehavior, poor academic progress, concerns due to a negative peer group etc.? Perhaps your child is being bullied. Is there sibling rivalry at home and you just wish your children would get along? If your answer was, 'yes' to any of the concerns mentioned above, I can help.
As of yet, I have never met a, ‘bad kid.’ However, I have met plenty that are hurting and don’t know how to cope with their pain. I have ample experience working with youth and their families to facilitate positive change. I don’t shy away from "tough cases".
